Titel: Kosminskis in The London Gazette

All diese Butcher waren irgendwie miteinander verbunden.

Scott (2007):

I’m still looking for “Wolf Kosminski” in the 1891 census, and a descendent (see below) is positive that a family member was the suspect.

I'm interested in your [Kosminski] contact. What kind of things does he say? Does he speak of having schizophrenia in his family? Can he provide any documents from the lives of these people? Yes I think he can. It’s quite fascinating reading. I heard from him again a couple of weeks ago, but I don’t want to press him too much. One part that struck me was that he said that Wolf was a “mean and cruel” man who ill-used his grandson (the father-in-law of my contact’s wife) at the age of 16.

Several years ago I was contacted by a London gentleman whose wife was descended from the Wolf Kosminski listed at Batty Gardens in the 1901 census (sorry I don't have the folio info at this point, but you've probably seen the entry already). There was a family history that one of the relatives was a Ripper suspect.

I don't think this Wolf or any of his relatives was the suspect in question, but the contact thought he may have eventually immigrated to Australia. He didn't mention Butchers Row.

Ich antwortete:

Ah, this Woolf Kosminski.

I had taken notes:

Wo(o)lf Kosminski (Wife Leah) 26 Batty´s Gardens in 1901
Wolf Kosusorumie 9 Batty´s Gardens in 1891
“Lobonoffski“ 23 Batty´s Gardens 1887

"Lobonoffski" it reminded me of Lubnowski and "Kosusorumie" of Aaron Kozminski´s name “Kosorimski“ in Colney Hatch.

Daraufhin schrieb Chris Philips:

Yes. That comes from the records of the London Hospital:
[April 28] 555 [without tickets] [No] 7 Marie Lobonoffski 23 Battys Gardens Back Ch: Lane, WC. [Aged] 1 [Ward: Rachel] deleted in red and Buxton written in red above
Bronchitis [?Sutton] [Date of discharge: May] 27 87 [Days in hospital:] 29
[1887 Physicians' Female Admission Register]

This may be a daughter of Morris Lubnowski's brother Israel. Estimates of her date of birth vary, but she would be roughly the right age. Elsewhere she was called Mattie, Tilly or Matilda.

Also Nathan Kosminsky und Aaron Kozminski.

Verwechslungen, hier meine private Erfahrung:

Phil Parkes (Wolverhampton) geboren 1947
Phil Parkes (Queens Park & West Ham)  geboren 1950
Tony Parks (Tottenham, Queens Park, West Ham) geboren 1963

Gut =)

Ausschließen sollte man sowieso gar nichts ;)
